Let me take you far away...

I know it's been a while since I posted anything, but what can I say...the Greek summer got to me!! The weather is wonderful, the sea is warm, the food is fresh and the drinks are cool! Come all I tell you...we'll have so much fan lol

The thing is that, apart from all the above, the Greek summer offers you a variety of cultural activities that happen once in a lifetime, for example...the Scorpions concert in Xanthi! Scorpions came to my part of the world and it was a breathtaking experience! This time they didn't just come to Athens. They chose 3-4 different Greek cities and they...rock and roll-ed us!!!!

For all my fellow bloggers who are currently on holidays, I wish you are having the summer-time of your life. For those of you who are working I hope you have plans to escape for a while...if not..."let me take you far away, you'd like a holiday"...

Love and kisses
xoxo

We were in Greece on holiday a few weeks ago. Such a glorious place. We traveled to a number of countries around the Med but as soon as we hit Greece there was a different fresher, easier feel about things.

I am so glad you are having a fun summer, go off enjoy yourself, come back when you are ready. Summer is your vacation time and you have earned it. Heck if I could have a summer place like that to visit, I would not want to be sitting in front of a computer, I would be out on the beaches, swimming, taking long hikes, long boat rides. Just have fun, lots and lots of fun. Take some pictures and you can show us some of those beautiful places during the cold of winter. It will warm our hearts.

Video was too short, but it was great.

God bless.

Now Marianna, I hate paying good money for a concert and then being made to sing! That's what I pay them to do! Haha . .never heard of the Scorpians but I I bet my 'glam rock' friend has! Glad you're having a wonderful break!

Wow, my mind is totally blown! Not what I expected...Let me see if I can explain myself. I was born in the States as was my other and biological father. the grand parents on both side where born in Greece and later moved to the States. I guess you could call me second generation American born.

This explains my connection to Greece. I've always been curious about my roots. Funny though, in the times when I was growing up there was a trend in emigrant families or should I say families of the children of emigrant families, to get away from the traditional and more to American ways. There is good and bad in all that, but I'll leave that for another discussion. I seem to be drifting away from my point. anyway.

To make a long story short...I had no concept of Greece, except for what I've read. Please don't laugh or think me stupid, but my perception of Greece was this old, old world where at one point in time was the heart beat of all knowledge and spirituality. A place that now existed but in a mythological kind of way.

Anyway, to my point. Reading your blog and watching the videos, by the way I love the Scorps. This light went off in side of me. And it was like look at all these people and they are just like me , rocking out to the music. It just blows my mind. In a very cool way. Anyway thanks and I hope I wasn't too long winded I just wanted to share my appreciation....nick
